Technical Principle
Fumed silica produced by gas-phase method is produced by flame hydrolysis: SiCl ₄ is hydrolyzed at high temperature in a hydrogen oxygen flame to produce ultrafine particles, which are then aggregated and deacidification to obtain the product. Its particle size is controlled between 7-40 nm, and the smaller the primary particle size, the larger the specific surface area (up to 400 m ²/g).
