Low carbon synergy between white carbon black and new energy vehicles

Hits: 1020 img

New energy vehicles have strict requirements for tire lightweighting and low rolling resistance, promoting the evolution of white carbon black technology towards "high dispersion and high reinforcement":

Material innovation: Highly dispersed white carbon black (HD-SiO ₂) is modified with silane coupling agents to form chemical bonds with rubber molecular chains, reducing the tire rolling resistance coefficient from 8.5 to 6.0 and increasing fuel efficiency by 6%.
Technological breakthrough: The multi-source raw material mixing process developed by Hesheng Silicon Industry converts by-products such as silicon tetrachloride and methyl trichlorosilane into gas-phase white carbon black, reducing costs by 35% and meeting the large-scale production needs of electric vehicle tires.
Market pattern: The top five global companies (Germany's Evonik, Japan's Dongcao, China's Hesheng Silicon Industry, etc.) occupy 65% of the market share, while domestic companies have increased their market share to 30% in emerging markets such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East through technological catch-up.
According to data from the China Rubber Industry Association, the demand for white carbon black for new energy vehicle tires is expected to reach 1 million tons by 2025, driving industry capacity expansion and technological iteration.
