Precipitation method white carbon black: the green evolution of traditional processes

Hits: 1011 img

Precipitation method white carbon black occupies 90% of the global market share. Its core is the reaction between sodium silicate and sulfuric acid. By controlling parameters such as pH value (5-8) and reaction temperature (80-90 ℃), it achieves the conversion from crystalline quartz sand to amorphous hydrated silica. In recent years, the industry has focused on two major upgrading directions:

Raw material innovation: using industrial solid waste such as rice husk ash and fly ash to replace quartz sand. For example, Wang Liping's team converted fly ash into nano white carbon black through gas-phase method, with a particle size of 10-20 nm and a purity of 99.95%, achieving resource recycling.
Functional modification: adding chelating agents, surfactants, etc. to enhance product dispersibility. Tan Dongyu's research shows that the DBP absorption value of modified white carbon black has increased from 2.5 cm ³/g to 3.5 cm ³/g, meeting the demand for high-end tires.
With the tightening of environmental regulations, companies producing precipitated white carbon black are accelerating the layout of clean production, such as using membrane separation technology to recover sodium sulfate from wastewater, reducing single line energy consumption by 15%.
