There are many types of release agents based on silicones. Classified according to product characteristics, material composition, use form, etc.:

(1) organosilane and its solution
The release agent substrate is an organochlorosilane or an organoalkoxysilane. For example, an organosilicon compound such as methylchlorosilane, methylethoxysilane, phenylchlorosilane or phenylethoxysilane, or an organosilane solution in which the above organosilane is dissolved in an organic solvent is applied to the surface of the mold, that is, A working film resistant to rubbing can be formed. The use of organosilane as a release agent has certain limitations. The organochlorosilane absorbs moisture in the air during the film formation process and is hydrolyzed. The hydrogen chloride released is corrosive. Therefore, it is only suitable for corrosion-resistant molds such as glass and ceramics. .

(2) Silicone oil and its solution, grease
The release agent substrate is an inert linear polymer silicone polymer such as methyl silicone oil, methyl phenyl silicone oil or various modified silicone oils. The commonly used silicone oil type release agent is a silicone oil solution prepared by using silicone oil as a main component and adding an organic solvent such as toluene or gasoline.
The solid components such as white carbon black, diatomaceous earth and mica powder are added by silicone oil, and the mixture can be mixed into a semi-solid paste type release agent.

(3) Silicone rubber and its solution
Liquid silicone rubber can be directly used as a release agent, but more applications are to formulate silicone rubber and organic solvent into a silicone rubber solution, and then mix with a crosslinking agent, a catalyst and other auxiliary components, and apply it to the surface of the mold to form a vulcanized silicone rubber. Working film.

(4) Silicone resin and its solution
The release agent substrate is a crosslinkable and curable silicone polymer such as methyl silicone resin or methyl phenyl silicone resin. Usually, the above silicone resin is dissolved in an organic solvent such as ethanol, toluene or gasoline to prepare a silicone resin solution, and the release agent is applied to the surface of the mold by a spraying or dip coating process, and then the silicone resin is cured into a working film by heating or the like. .

(5) Silicone emulsion
The silicone oil or silicone resin is used as a main component, and an emulsifier, water or the like is added to prepare an emulsion. The aqueous emulsion applied to the surface of the mold forms a release agent working film after the water volatilizes.

(6) silicone aerosol
The silicone oil is used as a main component, and a propellant such as Freon or butane is mixed and packaged in a sealed container. When the release agent is applied, the propellant carries the main component of the release agent and is sprayed on the surface of the mold, and the propellant is quickly volatilized, and the deposit forms a working film of the release agent.

(7) Other types
In addition, there is also the direct application of silicone rubber to manufacture elastic molds. The silicone rubber mold itself not only has good heat resistance, but also has excellent performance against cracking and easy release. It is especially suitable for mold release of complex shapes.
