Generalized release agents include many types, which are used in chemical, metallurgical, building materials and other fields. This paper is limited to the release agent in the chemical industry, mainly discussing the processing of materials such as rubber and plastic.

Release agent.

There are many kinds of basic materials that can be used as release agents, and commonly used release agents are inorganic, organic and polymer types. Commonly used inorganic release agents include graphite powder, talc powder, mica powder, disulfide key and other powders; commonly used organic release agents are fatty acids, fatty acid soaps, various waxes, ethylene glycol, etc. The release agent has the function of a lubricant; the polymer release agent mainly includes polyvinyl alcohol, cellulose acetate, organic fluoropolymer and silicone polymer, among which the silicone polymer is the most suitable release agent.

The dosage form of the release agent is divided into two types, solid and liquid. The solid form is a fine powder material, which is less used in the processing of rubber and plastic products due to inconvenient application of powdery substances and possible transfer and adhesion to the surface of rubber and plastic products. The initial form of the frequently used release agent is mostly liquid, and some use liquid bulk polymer, as well as solutions, emulsions, and pastes prepared by adding effective solvent, emulsifier, filler and other components. An aerosol or the like can be prepared by adding a propellant to them. The release agent applied to the mold may be in the form of a liquid film, and some may be solidified into a solid film.
