In the field of medicine, researchers from the Department of Bioengineering at the National University of Singapore's School of Engineering have developed a new technology that can convert infrared light into ultraviolet and visible light through silica nanoparticles, paving the way for non-invasive therapies for deep tumors. It is reported that this technology can inhibit tumor growth, control its gene expression, and is the world's first non-invasive photodynamic therapy using nanoparticles to treat deep tumors.
