Research on anti ship collision device for middle tower pier of Wuhan yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge

Abstract: the main bridge of Wuhan yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge is a (200 + 2 × 850 + 200) m three tower four span steel-concrete composite girder suspension bridge, and the self floating cylindrical composite anti-collision device is proposed for the middle tower pier to reduce the risk of ship collision. In order to study the failure mode and anti-collision effect of the anti-collision device, four anti-collision device specimens with a scale of 1:8 were made for quasi-static side pressure test, and the collision process of the ship bridge was simulated by ANSYS / LS-DYNA finite element software. The results show that under the quasi-static lateral pressure, the inner surface of the anti-collision device is stripped off layer by layer, the outer layer is peeled off from the foam, and the inner and outer layer fibers are broken. The longitudinal lattice layer peeling and buckling failure, reducing the lattice spacing can enhance the elastic ultimate bearing capacity and initial stiffness of the structure; the collision prevention device can reduce the impact force of the ship and prolong the impact time; the bow structure is deformed after impact. The stress is reduced obviously. The anti-collision device has good anti-collision protection effect, and can effectively reduce the damage of bridge and ship in the process of collision.
