1、 Introduction to the school of mechanics
The college is jointly developed by the Department of chemical machinery established in 1958 by Nanjing Institute of technology, the predecessor of our college, and the Department of mechanical and electrical engineering established in 1980 by Nanjing Institute of construction engineering.
Since 1978, it has been one of the first four master's programs in the field of chemical process machinery in China.
In 1984, it was approved by the academic degree committee of the State Council to become one of the three earliest doctoral degree authorization points of chemical process machinery in China.
As the main supporting disciplines of Engineering Science in our university, power engineering, engineering thermophysics and mechanical engineering have entered 1% of ESI disciplines.
It has national heat pipe technology promotion center, provincial process strengthening and new energy equipment technology key laboratory, provincial industrial equipment digital manufacturing and Control Technology Key Laboratory, provincial process industry energy conservation and environmental protection technology and equipment engineering laboratory, provincial extreme pressure equipment design and manufacturing key laboratory and other research bases.
2、 2019 graduates
The college has a total of 575 graduates in 2019, including 11 doctoral students, 127 postgraduate students and 437 undergraduate students.
They come from 28 provinces and cities in China, from Heilongjiang in the north to Hainan in the south.
Jiangsu Province is the main source of students
In addition to Jiangsu Province, graduates are mainly from Henan, Shanxi and Sichuan.
As a representative College of engineering, our ratio of male and female students has never let you down. The gender comparison of 2019 graduates proves our strength.
Most of the undergraduates are from five majors, including process equipment and control engineering, mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, new energy science and engineering, welding technology and engineering, and some of them are from the international class of mechanical engineering.

The graduate employment rate of the college is almost 100%, and only one graduate student in 2019 fails to get employment on time
Among the enterprises that graduate students go to, the nature of enterprises is mainly concentrated in state-owned enterprises, foreign-funded enterprises and other enterprises, with a proportion of more than 80%
Employment industry
In graduate employment, the number of people engaged in manufacturing is still large, while the number of people who joined the education industry has increased significantly, reaching 15.
Whereabouts of employment
Jiangsu is the first choice for employment after graduation. More than 76% of graduates choose to stay in Jiangsu.
In addition to Jiangsu, graduates mainly go to Shandong, Zhejiang, Hebei and other provinces for employment.
In addition, the enterprises they go to are relatively concentrated. Among the 128 graduate students, there are 7 units that go to more than 3 enterprises.
Undergraduate employment
The first strict employment rate of undergraduates is 92% (as of August 26, 2019), and the year-end employment rate is 98.17% (as of November 10, 2019). Among them, 306 are employed by agreement, 106 are studying abroad, 21 are employed by contract and other means, and 4 are self-employed, a total of 437.
Study abroad
The enrollment rate of this postgraduate is 63.76%, and the final enrollment rate is 24.26%. Among them, 7 are going abroad for further study, 3 are going to Hong Kong for study, 17 are going to guarantee research and 80 are going to record research.
There are 54 first-class universities in China, mainly including Zhejiang University, Sichuan University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing University of technology, etc. 30 of the other 43 people stayed in Nanjing University of technology. According to the data, alma mater is still the first choice.
Employment situation
Among the graduates, 327 chose their own enterprises and units, accounting for 74.83% of the total.
4、 Employment destination
Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai parcel post districts are still the choice of most graduates, especially 198 people in Jiangsu Province.
5、 Nature of employment unit
Graduates enter 22.63% of state-owned enterprises, 15.90% of foreign-funded enterprises, and 2.45% of government agencies and institutions. Although most of the students' ideal jobs are in these categories, more than half of the graduates still go to other enterprises.
6、 Employment industry
We are graduates of large machinery. The industry distribution of graduates' employment has our characteristics. 58.41% of our students are engaged in manufacturing industry.

There are nearly 200 employment units and enterprises, mainly concentrated in automobile, petrochemical, equipment manufacturing, new energy and other enterprises.

（1） Full participation in employment

10、 Employment effectiveness
By the end of November 2019, the employment rate of the 2019 graduates of the Institute of mechanical and power engineering has reached 98.17%, which has successfully completed the school level target.
