1.Cooling
The rubber compound must be cooled after mixing, otherwise scorch and stickiness may occur due to higher temperature during storage. Normal film is coated with a release agent as it cools. Mixer compound cooling is usually forced by a hanging film cooling device.
2.Filter
In addition to the impurities that may be contained in the rubber raw materials, impurities may also be introduced into the rubber during the compounding process. Therefore, the rubber should be considered according to the product requirements. In order to prevent scorch, usually the masterbatch without curing agent and accelerator is considered.
3.Parking
After mixing or filtering the rubber compounding rubber, it generally needs to be parked for about 24 hours before it can be used. The purpose is to eliminate the fatigue of the rubber compound, relax the mechanical stress during mixing, and reduce the shrinkage of the rubber compound.
During the parking process, the compounding agent will continue to diffuse, which promotes uniform dispersion, and at the same time, further generates a bonding rubber between the rubber and carbon black, which improves the reinforcing effect.
During storage of vulcanizates, the temperature and humidity must be controlled to prevent scorching or moisture absorption.
