The application of silicone rubber in the automotive industry is growing rapidly. Silicone rubber (especially silicone rubber with various characteristics) can withstand the erosion of fuel oil and lubricants, improve the performance of automobile parts and reduce maintenance costs. It can be used in automobile ignition wire, spark plug protective cover, heating and radiator hose, muffler lining, battery connector, and gasoline pump made of fluorosilicone rubber. With the development of electrification of vehicle electronics, room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber is widely used in electronic parts, potting materials for electrical components, windshield glass, car body seals and reflectors.
