Vapor-phase nanometer silica particles are 100-1000 times smaller than ordinary silica. Adding them to epoxy resin is beneficial for drawing into filaments. Due to the high fluidity and small size effect of fumed nano-silica, the surface of the material is more dense and clean, the friction coefficient becomes smaller, and the high strength of the nanoparticles makes the material's wear resistance greatly enhanced.
