IOTA FINE SIL 7300B: Big-Pore Precipitated Silica for Fast Ink Absorption in Inkjet Media

Hits: 1919 img

For inkjet media formulators, print quality is decided long before the ink hits the head: it is decided by how fast — and how evenly — the coating layer absorbs ink.

IOTA FINE SIL 7300B is a special precipitated silica designed for spray-painting consumables and photographic paper. Its large pore volume gives the coating strong ink absorption performance and high color saturation, while fast curing speed helps manufacturers improve both printing quality and line efficiency.

What it delivers in the film:

  • Good extinction effect — semi-matte, lambency and full-matte finishes are all reachable with dosage adjustment.
  • Easy dispersion: the powder disperses down to 15 μm by standard high-speed stirring, no mill required.
  • Transparent film without fog — the coating stays clean over dark or saturated ink areas.
  • No negative effect on drying, storage or curing of the paint system.
  • Flat, smooth, wear- and impact-resistant film with good anti-settling behavior during storage: no hard precipitation.

Dispensing note: matting/absorbing powders only work when fully dispersed. Pay attention to blade diameter, vessel size, slurry height and impeller speed when dispersing on a high-speed disperser.

Packing: white kraft paper bag, 10 kg/bag.
