(May 27, 2026) Recently, the domestic silica market has been operating steadily. Demand from downstream sectors such as tires, rubber products, coatings, daily chemicals, and new materials has been steadily recovering. Coupled with an increase in overseas market orders, the industry has seen a boost in both production and sales, and the competitiveness of high-end functional silica products continues to rise.

In terms of market supply and demand, traditional precipitation-based silica is mainly used in rubber reinforcement and feed additives. Domestic tire manufacturers have maintained high operating rates, which has driven a stable demand for general-purpose silica. Fumed silica, with its advantages of high purity and high specific surface area, is seeing rapid growth in demand in fields such as silicone rubber, sealants, electronic materials, and high-end coatings, becoming a core driver of industry growth. Due to environmental regulations and capacity optimization, outdated production capacity is being phased out, leading to increased concentration of production capacity among leading companies and continuous improvement in the market supply structure.

The export sector has performed exceptionally well. With the recovery of the global rubber industry and new energy materials sector, China's hydrophilic and hydrophobic fumed silicas as well as highly dispersed precipitation silicas are being exported to regions such as Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Overseas customers have an increasing demand for silicas with low oil absorption values, high reinforcement properties, and environmental friendliness. This month, foreign trade orders have increased slightly month-on-month, and the premium ability of high-end customized products has significantly strengthened.

Industry insiders state that white carbon is currently transitioning from a traditional rubber filler to a high-end new material, with its applications continuously expanding in emerging fields such as new energy batteries, photovoltaic adhesives, premium cosmetics, and agricultural additives. In the future, as the downstream new materials industry upgrades, more refined, specialized, and functional white carbon products are expected to gain a larger market share. Technological advancements and green production practices will become the core directions for development within these enterprises.
