At this press conference, the "ultra-fine and high-purity silica preparation technology" jointly developed by Nanjing University of Technology and Jiangsu Kaisheng New Materials Co., Ltd. was officially put into production, which solves the problem of low product purity and uneven particle size in the traditional preparation process, the product purity can reach more than 99.8%, and the particle size error is controlled within 5 nanometers, which can be widely used in high-end fields such as electronics and biomedicine.

In addition to the breakthrough of core preparation technology, collaborative innovation between industry, university and research has also promoted the green upgrading of silica production process. The "precipitation silica wastewater recycling technology" jointly developed by Shandong University of Science and Technology and Shandong Silicon New Materials Co., Ltd. has realized the recycling of the whole process of production wastewater, with a wastewater recovery rate of more than 95%, saving more than 30 tons of water per ton of products, greatly reducing the production cost and environmental protection pressure of enterprises, and the technology has been promoted and applied in more than 10 domestic silica enterprises, saving more than 5 million tons of water resources.

The reporter learned that in order to promote the deep integration of industry, education and research, local governments have introduced support policies to build an innovation cooperation platform. Jiangsu, Shandong, Zhejiang and other major silica producing areas have set up special funds for industry-university-research cooperation to support universities and enterprises to jointly establish R&D centers and academician workstations, encourage scientific researchers to go deep into the front line of enterprises, accurately connect with market demand, and improve the pertinence and practicability of technology research and development. Up to now, 23 silica industry-university-research innovation platforms have been built in China, and a total of 46 technical achievements have been implemented, driving the technical level of the industry to be significantly improved.

As the core carrier of industry-university-research cooperation, enterprises are actively increasing R&D investment and promoting the transformation of technological achievements. The relevant person in charge of Jiangsu Kaisheng New Materials Co., Ltd. said that after the establishment of a joint R&D center between the enterprise and the university, 8% of the sales revenue will be invested in research and development every year, focusing on the research and development of high-end silica products and process optimization.

Industry experts said that the deep integration of industry, education and research is the key path to promote technological innovation in the silica industry, and the current technological breakthrough in China's silica industry is inseparable from the coordinated efforts of universities, scientific research institutions and enterprises. In the future, with the continuous improvement of the collaborative innovation system, more core technologies will be implemented and transformed, further breaking the monopoly of foreign technology, promoting the transformation of China's silica industry from a "manufacturing power" to a "manufacturing power", and helping the industry achieve high-quality development.
