The patent for the new technology of rice husk ash to silica has been implemented, and the solid waste cycle has empowered the silicon material industry

(April 24, 2026) Recently, the latest patent information released by the State Intellectual Property Office shows that the new silica preparation technology of domestic enterprises has been officially announced, and the high-purity silica preparation process of agricultural solid waste rice husk ash has achieved technological breakthroughs, which will effectively broaden the source of silica raw materials and promote the green and low-carbon upgrading of the industry. 

The full name of the patent is "A Silica and Its Preparation Method and Application", which was submitted in March this year and published in April. The technical route uses rice husk ash as a cheap silicon source, and prepares high-quality modified silica products through multiple processes such as alkali pretreatment, microwave-assisted purification, compound modification, and high-pressure spray carbonization. 

Compared with the traditional quartz sand and water glass preparation process, this technology can realize the resource utilization of agricultural waste, greatly reduce the cost of raw materials, and at the same time emit less pollutants in the production process. 

Industry experts said that the domestic silica industry is accelerating the elimination of high-energy-consuming traditional processes, and solid waste recycling and low-carbon new processes have become the core direction of industry research and development. The implementation of the silica preparation technology from rice husk ash not only enriches the domestic silica supply system, but also helps the circular economy of the silicon material industry chain, and provides a technical reference for small and medium-sized chemical enterprises to reduce costs and environmental protection.
