The game between precipitation method and gas-phase method in the preparation process of white carbon black
Comparison of Process Principles:
Precipitation method: A precipitate is formed by reacting water glass with sulfuric acid, which is then washed and dried. The process cost is low (about 2000 yuan/ton), but the product has a wide particle size distribution (50-200nm), which is commonly used as a toothpaste friction agent and ordinary rubber reinforcement.
Gas phase method: Silicon tetrachloride reacts with hydrogen and oxygen at a high temperature of 1800 ℃ to form nano-sized particles (10-20nm) with a purity of 99.8%. The process cost is high (about 20000 yuan/ton), but the product has excellent transparency and is widely used in silicone rubber and high-end coatings.
Performance differences:
Reinforcement efficiency: The tensile strength of gas-phase white carbon black in silicone rubber can reach 18MPa, which is 60% higher than the precipitation method.
Dispersibility: After modification with hexamethyldisilazane, the dispersion time of gas-phase products in organic solvents is shortened to 10 minutes, while the precipitation method requires 2 hours.
Market application: 70% of the global gas-phase white carbon black is used in the field of silicone rubber, while precipitation method products account for 90% of the toothpaste market share. Ekman Chemical has reduced the cost to 15000 yuan/ton through large-scale production using gas-phase method, promoting its popularization in 5G base station sealant.
