The preparation process of white carbon black is a complex and delicate process, which directly affects the performance and application effect of the product. At present, there are two main methods for preparing white carbon black: chemical precipitation method and gas-phase method, each with its unique process characteristics and applicable scope.
1、 Chemical precipitation method
Chemical precipitation method is currently one of the most commonly used methods for producing white carbon black. It uses sodium silicate (water glass) and inorganic acids (such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid) as raw materials. By controlling the reaction conditions, sodium silicate and acid undergo neutralization reaction to generate silica precipitate, which is then washed, dried, and crushed to obtain white carbon black products. This method has readily available raw materials, low costs, and is suitable for large-scale production, but the product purity is relatively low and the specific surface area is small.
2、 Gas-phase method
The gas-phase method is a more advanced preparation technique that utilizes silicon halides (such as silicon tetrachloride) to react with hydrogen or oxygen at high temperatures, directly generating gaseous silicon dioxide, which is then condensed, collected, and crushed to obtain high-purity, high specific surface area white carbon black. Gas phase method products have excellent performance and are suitable for high-end fields, but they require large equipment investment, high production costs, and relatively high technical barriers.
3、 Process optimization and innovation
With the advancement of technology, the preparation process of white carbon black is constantly being optimized and innovated. For example, by improving precipitation conditions, using new surface treatment agents, and introducing new technologies such as microwave-assisted drying, the performance and production efficiency of products can be significantly improved. At the same time, the green and environmentally friendly production concept also prompts enterprises to continuously explore low-energy and low emission preparation processes to achieve sustainable development.
From raw materials to high-quality products, the preparation process of white carbon black embodies the wisdom and sweat of researchers. In the future, with the continuous advancement of technology, the preparation of white carbon black will be more efficient and environmentally friendly, injecting new vitality into the development of modern industry.
