Environmentally friendly preparation technology of hydrated silica: resource utilization of industrial solid waste

Hits: 1055 img

The traditional preparation of hydrated silica relies on raw materials such as quartz sand and soda ash, which have problems such as high resource consumption and environmental pollution. In recent years, the preparation of hydrated silica from industrial solid waste such as fly ash and rice husk ash has become a research hotspot. Taking fly ash as an example, its silicon dioxide content reaches 50% -60%. Through steps such as alkali melting activation, acid leaching purification, and precipitation crystallization, high-purity hydrated silicon dioxide (purity ≥ 95%) can be prepared.

This technology not only reduces raw material costs (by 30% compared to traditional methods), but also reduces the environmental pollution caused by solid waste storage. For example, a certain enterprise uses fly ash to produce 20000 tons of hydrated silica annually, which is equivalent to digesting 100000 tons of solid waste and reducing CO ₂ emissions by 15000 tons. In the future, with the tightening of environmental policies and the increasing demand for resource recycling, solid waste preparation technology will become an important development direction for the industry.
