In the tire industry, replacing some carbon black with white carbon black can reduce rolling resistance by 20% -30%, help fuel vehicles save 5% fuel, and increase electric vehicle range by 8%. Global tire giant Michelin has increased its use of white carbon black to 30% and launched the "Green Tire" series. In the field of new energy, white carbon black is used as a coating for lithium battery separators, which can improve thermal stability by 300% and prevent battery thermal runaway.


As the world's largest producer of white carbon black, China's production will reach 2.8 million tons in 2023, accounting for 45% of the global total. However, high-end products such as gas-phase white carbon black still rely on imports, with a localization rate of less than 30%. With the advancement of the "dual carbon" target, the application of white carbon black in emerging fields such as photovoltaic film and hydrogen energy storage and transportation is accelerating, and it is expected that the market size will exceed 50 billion yuan by 2025.
