From rice husk to high-end materials: the path of turning waste into treasure for white carbon black

In the field of agricultural waste disposal, rice husks were once considered a "burden" due to their difficulty in degradation. But now, through innovative technology, rice husks are being transformed into high value-added white carbon black, achieving a magnificent turn in resource recycling.


Rice husks are rich in silica (accounting for about 20%), making them an ideal raw material for preparing white carbon black. Traditional craftsmanship relies on mineral resources such as quartz sand, while rice husk based white carbon black not only has lower costs, but also has a more environmentally friendly production process. For example, a certain enterprise adopts the "high-temperature cracking acid leaching purification" technology to carbonize rice husks at 600 ℃, and then remove impurities through hydrochloric acid pickling, ultimately obtaining white carbon black products with a purity of over 95%. This material has been successfully applied in fields such as rubber and coatings, and its performance is comparable to mineral based white carbon black.


According to calculations, each ton of rice husk can produce about 0.2 tons of white carbon black, while producing by-products such as activated carbon. With the increasing global demand for sustainable materials, rice husk based white carbon black is expected to become a model for the integration of agriculture and chemical industries, injecting new momentum into rural revitalization.
