Coated aluminum pans are the most basic kitchen appliances, featuring light weight and low production costs. In addition, aluminum pans use less oil than expensive cast iron or stainless steel pans. They are used to make fish, egg rolls and pancakes. The amount of fat is much lower, which also satisfies modern consumers who focus on healthy eating. Demand.

But for a long time, aluminum pans have always had an Achilles heel: heat resistance is poor. For this reason, the discerning chefs prefer to choose other metal pans when making dishes such as fried steaks that require high-temperature cooking.

However, in this respect, aluminum pans are also constantly being improved: usually the inner surface is coated with polytetrafluoroethylene, also known as Teflon, and the outer surface is coated with a silicone polyester resin.
During the baking process, after the water in the coating is volatilized, the coating is continuously heated at a temperature of 250 ° C to 280 ° C for about 10-15 minutes to complete the crosslinking reaction. Silicone is used as a binder to encapsulate the solid particles in the coating – pigments and fillers – so that they adhere to each other and to the substrate to form a strong coating to protect the product. Subject to external influences.

Silicone coatings without organic components have superior heat resistance: if pigments and fillers are added, such coatings can withstand high temperatures above 650 °C for short periods of time. If silicone is not organically modified, the heat resistance of the coating will be unmatched and this coating can be used in engine parts. However, the use of cooking utensils and other household items is far less harsh than that of the engine, so there is no need to use pure silicone resin, and the cost of pure silicone resin is higher, and will not become the preferred base material for kitchen coatings. Silicone not only maintains excellent substrate adhesion, but also helps to adjust coating properties to meet the needs of specific applications while ensuring a high price/performance ratio.
