Nano silica (vk-sp30t) is an amorphous white powder (referring to its aggregate). There are unsaturated residual bonds and hydroxyl groups in different bonding states on the surface, and its molecular state is a three-dimensional chain structure. Generally speaking, the force between the hydrogen bonds gathered on the surface of nanoparticles is not strong, and it is easy to be separated by shear force. However, these hydrogen bonds will recover rapidly after the external shear force is eliminated, resulting in rapid structural reorganization. This kind of shear force weakening reaction which depends on time and external force to restore the original state is called "thixotropy".


Thixotropy is the main factor for nano silica (vk-sp30t) to improve the properties of traditional coatings. Adding nano silicon dioxide (vk-sp30t) to the interior and exterior wall coatings of buildings can significantly improve the can opening effect of the coatings. The coatings are not layered, thixotropic, anti sagging, and have good construction performance. In particular, the stain resistance is greatly improved, with excellent self-cleaning performance and adhesion. It is reported that the scrub resistance reaches more than 10000 times. Adding nano silicon dioxide (vk-sp30t) to vehicle and ship coatings is a key link to improve the coating smoothness and anti-aging performance. When the coating is dry, nano silicon dioxide (vk-sp30t) can quickly form a network structure, so that its anti-aging performance, smoothness and strength are doubled. Nano particles have special optical properties that large particles do not have, and there is a widespread "blue shift" phenomenon. The spectrophotometer test shows that the nano silicon dioxide has extremely strong ultraviolet absorption and infrared reflection characteristics. The ultraviolet absorption rate and infrared reflectance of the nano silicon dioxide reach more than 70% when the wavelength is less than 400nm and more than 70% when the wavelength is less than 400nm. When nano silica (vk-sp30t) is added to the coating, it can form a shielding effect on the coating, achieve the purpose of anti UV aging and thermal aging, and increase the thermal insulation of the coating.
