01 project introduction
The production methods of silica can be divided into dry process and wet process. Dry method mainly refers to gas phase method, wet method can be divided into precipitation method and gel method. The advantages of gas-phase method are high purity, high dispersion, fine particles forming spherical, less surface hydroxyl, so it has excellent reinforcing properties. However, the high cost of raw materials, high energy consumption, complex technology and high equipment requirements limit the application of this method.
The product characteristics of gel method are similar to those of dry products, and the price is cheaper than dry products, but the process is more complex than the dry method, and the cost is high. The precipitation method is to obtain loose, finely dispersed SiO2 precipitated in flocculent structure by acidification of silicate. The raw materials are easy to obtain, the production process is simple, the energy consumption is low, and the investment is small. At present, most of the preparation methods of precipitated silica are chemical reactions with sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid solution and sodium silicate solution. The precipitated silica prepared by this method has good performance and low cost. The preparation technology of silica by precipitation controls the average particle size and particle size distribution of the product by controlling the technological conditions such as the concentration of sodium silicate, the concentration of sulfuric acid, the reaction ratio of sodium silicate and sulfuric acid, the reaction temperature and the type of additives. The type and quantity of additives are changed to adjust the oil absorption value and refractive index of the product. The product performance index can meet the use requirements.

Silica prepared by precipitation method can be widely used in rubber, plastics, coatings, inks and other fields as matting agent, toothpaste industry as friction agent and thickener, as well as reinforcing agent in silicone rubber. For example, there is a big gap in the quality and price of silica matting agent products in China. The market price of modified silica products with good quality is 25000-28000 yuan / ton, which is much higher than the price of 14000-18000 yuan / ton of ordinary modified silica. The main difference between them is the particle size and oil absorption value of the product. The average particle size of the product with good application effect is less than 3 μ m, while the average particle size of the common white carbon black is 6-7 μ M. In addition, the roughness of the product surface also affects its application effect.
