1、 Mixing of raw materials
The main raw materials of float glass are: 73% silica, 13% sodium carbonate, 9% calcium oxide and 4% magnesium. The raw materials are mixed in proportion and then added with recycled small glass particles.
2、 Melting of raw materials
After passing through a mixing bin, the prepared raw materials are heated in a furnace with five bins, and become glass melt at about 1550 ℃.
3、 Glass forming
The molten glass flows into the bath and floats on top of the molten metal. At this time, the temperature is about 1000 ℃. The glass melt on the tin liquid forms a 3.66M wide, 3mm to 19mm thick ribbon. Because glass and tin have very different viscosity, the glass melt floating on the top and the tin liquid below will not mix together, and form a very flat contact surface.
4、 Cooling of glass melt
The temperature of the glass strip is about 600 ℃ when it leaves the tin bath, and then it enters the annealing chamber or continuous slow cooling kiln to gradually reduce the temperature of the glass to 50 ℃. The glass produced in this way is also called annealed glass.
5、 Cutting and storage
After several stages of quality inspection, Xuleng's glass is cut into different sizes for packaging, storage or transportation.
