1、 College introduction
The College of transportation engineering was established in August 2010. It consists of the Department of geological engineering, the Department of transportation engineering, the Department of underground engineering, the Department of railway engineering, and the teaching and experiment center, covering three first-class disciplines: Civil Engineering, transportation engineering, geological resources and geological engineering. There are four undergraduate majors: Geological Engineering, traffic engineering, urban underground space engineering and railway engineering. Among them, the geological engineering comes from the hydrogeology and engineering geology (secondary school) established in 1953; the traffic engineering comes from the Civil Engineering (direction of traffic Civil Engineering) established in 1999; the traffic engineering is established in 2002; the urban underground space engineering comes from the 1995 The major of Construction Engineering (geotechnical engineering direction) established in 2007 is urban underground space engineering; the major of railway engineering comes from the major of Traffic Engineering (rail transit) established in 2011, and the major of railway engineering established in 2018.
The college has the right to confer the doctoral degree in the second level discipline of geotechnical engineering, the master's degree in the second level discipline of geological engineering, and the master's degree in transportation engineering. Among them, the discipline of geotechnical engineering is the key discipline of Jiangsu Province (2006), and the discipline echelon of geotechnical engineering is the outstanding discipline echelon of Jiangsu Province. Together with other colleges, they have the right to confer the doctor's degree and master's degree of civil engineering postdoctoral mobile station, the first level discipline of Civil Engineering (the right to confer the doctor's degree and master's degree of two second-level disciplines of bridge and tunnel engineering, disaster prevention and mitigation engineering and Protection Engineering) Points), master degree awarding right points of civil water conservancy engineering, master degree awarding right points of resource and environmental engineering. In 2018, it was approved as the right point for awarding doctor's degree and master's degree in interdisciplinary subjects of smart city and intelligent transportation (co construction). Transportation Engineering College has formed a complete talent training system of bachelor, master, doctor and postdoctoral. There are more than 1100 full-time undergraduates and 220 full-time Master's and doctoral students.

Among the 2019 undergraduate graduates, Jiangsu Province is the main source of students, and the graduates outside Jiangsu Province mainly come from Guizhou, Xinjiang, Anhui and other provinces. 187 in Jiangsu, accounting for 64.26%; 12 in Guizhou, accounting for 4.12%; 9 in Xinjiang, accounting for 3.09%; 7 in Anhui, accounting for 2.41%.

The college attaches great importance to constantly improving the employment mechanism
Since the commencement of the graduate employment in 2019, the college has set up a "graduate employment leading group" with the Secretary and the dean as the team leader, the student deputy secretary, the teaching Deputy Dean and the scientific research deputy dean as the deputy team leader, the heads of all departments, and the academic and engineering cadres as members. The college mobilizes, gives full play to the enthusiasm of the faculty, and further promotes the employment of students. Give full play to the cooperation between alumni resources and internship units, promote the employment of graduates, and mobilize employers to recruit graduates. It has formed a good organizational atmosphere for the cooperation between the upper and lower levels of the college and the full implementation of the employment work of graduates of our college.

Focus on career planning and carry out employment guidance in different levels
In combination with the actual situation and characteristics of 2019 graduates, the college focuses on three steps of "institutionalization, refinement and personalization" to carry out employment guidance work in accordance with the three steps of initial employment awareness building, medium-term employment ability training and long-term career planning. Through the universal education of employment guidance course, employment guidance theme class meeting and face-to-face guidance, the establishment of employment awareness of point-to-face combination is completed. We will actively carry out special lecture exchange activities such as employment guidance lectures, alumni sharing meetings, and experience exchange meetings for outstanding seniors, and strengthen the training of employment ability based on Graduates' career planning.

Since the commencement of the employment of 2019 graduates, the college quickly responded to the school's call to "go out, please come in", organized a special employment publicity group to go to the employer, discussed the establishment of employment and entrepreneurship practice base and invited the employer to the school for recruitment. With the efforts of the college, 7 new employment and entrepreneurship practice bases have been established.
In addition, the college compares the employment information base of different stages and years according to the signing situation of graduates, actively understands the recruitment plan of relevant employers through the network communication platform, and organizes employers to come to the school to publicize recruitment. On April 18, 2019, under the condition of ensuring the existing market demand, our college actively explored new cooperative units, organized and contacted meticulously, and held the "2019 graduate recruitment fair of School of transportation engineering, Nanjing University of technology", attracting many units to participate, and achieved better results.
