Nanjing University of technology, with a history of one hundred years, is one of the first 14 universities to be selected into the national "university innovation ability improvement plan (2011 plan)", which is the key construction University of Jiangsu high-level university. The university has strong educational strength, ranking 43rd-70th in times higher education world university and 40th-58th in Shanghai soft science world university.
In the full vigour of life, the school of art and design has a teaching team of over 59%. The number of professors and associate professors is over that of the Tsinghua University. Southeast University and Tongji University, Nanjing Arts Institute, Nanjing Arts Institute, Nanjing Arts Institute, San Francisco, USA, and the Kyoto University of Kyoto, Japan, have been in the long term. Teaching and Research on business environment design, product design, landscape design, visual communication design, display design, digital media art and basic art theory. At present, the college has six undergraduate majors: environmental design, product design, visual communication design, art and technology, digital media art and industrial design.
The college has two academic master's programs of environmental design and its theory, industrial design and its theory, and two professional master's programs of art and industrial design engineering. The enrollment direction covers all undergraduate majors of the college, which can meet the needs of students for further study.
The college actively carries out academic exchanges with foreign countries, and invites well-known professors at home and abroad to guide the teaching work and carry out academic lectures all the year round. At present, it has established friendly cooperative relations with Pennsylvania State University, Stuttgart National Institute of plastic arts, Chiba University of Japan, Yunlin University of science and technology of Taiwan, and has sent teachers and students to exchange and study with each other. The teachers of the college have presided over and completed a number of research topics such as the National Social Science Foundation, the Ministry of education's humanities and social fund, and the social science foundation of Jiangsu Province. Hundreds of academic papers have been published in CSSCI Chinese core journal, beitu Chinese core journal, and many research monographs and teaching materials have been published.

Design majors are enrolled according to major categories, including environment design, product design, visual communication design, art and technology, and digital media art.
Environmental design majors mainly study Chinese and foreign architectural history, CAD drawing, three-dimensional modeling and rendering, preliminary design, performance painting, interior design, landscape design, decorative materials and structures, quick drawing design and other courses.
Product design majors mainly study the courses of rapid performance, engineering drawing, design methodology, ergonomics, design psychology, industrial design history, visual communication design foundation, product modeling design foundation, industrial design engineering foundation, product design, interactive design, etc.
Visual communication design majors mainly study graphic design, text design, layout design, printing technology, packaging design, poster design, book design, VIS design, UI design, visual oriented design, advertising photography, cultural derivative design and other courses.
The major of art and science and technology mainly studies design preliminary, architectural design basis, performance painting, space design basis, display design, digital media editing, venue service system design, graphic layout and brand design, furniture design innovation, exhibition construction and engineering and other courses.
Digital media art majors mainly study audio-visual language, film and television animation modeling foundation, original painting design, animation storyboard development, mixed media experiment, short film shooting, cartoon creation, role design, theme short film creation and other courses.
As a high-quality design art talent, graduates are loved by the society. They can engage in the design, research, teaching, management and other work related to art design in enterprises and institutions in the field of design research. In recent years, the employment quality of college graduates is high, and the average employment rate is more than 98%.

Tuition fees shall be in accordance with the standards approved by Jiangsu Provincial Price Bureau. In 2020, the tuition fees for art majors in our university will be 6800 yuan / year.

(I) application conditions
1. Candidates must meet the requirements of the Ministry of education and the provinces for application, as well as the Enrollment Requirements of Art Majors in our school.
2. They are in good health and conform to the guiding opinions on physical examination for enrollment of general colleges and universities. The candidates with color blindness and weak color are not suitable to apply for the examination.
(II) professional examination
Candidates are required to take the provincial general examination of Fine Arts in the province where the college entrance examination is located and obtain the qualification. Our school will not organize the examination independently.

Take part in the national unified examination of college enrollment culture.
V. admission principles
(I) professional achievements
Candidates are required to take the provincial general examination of Fine Arts in accordance with the relevant regulations of the province where they are located, and their scores are above qualified.
(II) cultural achievements
Candidates' cultural performance must meet the minimum control score line of the province, among which the minimum requirement for candidates in Jiangsu Province to fill in the application is that no more than 3 of the 7 compulsory subjects fail to pass the test (Level C and above are qualified).
(III) filing and admission
If there are clear admission rules in the province, they will be accepted according to their rules; if there are no clear admission rules, they will be accepted according to the comprehensive results after the combination of the provincial unified examination professional results and the college entrance examination cultural course results. Candidates with the same comprehensive scores shall be ranked according to the rules of provinces on the comparison of the same score. Admission information shall be subject to the information published by the competent department of admission in each province.
Vi. selection method of major enrollment
Our school's design majors (environmental design, product design, visual communication design, art and technology, digital media art) are enrolled according to the major categories. After one semester of enrollment, students will be divided into specific majors according to their wishes and academic achievements.

IX. supplementary provisions
The power of interpretation of this brief chapter belongs to the leading group of undergraduate enrollment work of our university. If it is inconsistent with the enrollment policy of the province where the examinee is located, the enrollment policy of the province where the examinee is located shall be implemented.
