Question 4.How to calculate 0.1% wt / wt?
Answer: 0.1% wt / wt is calculated on the basis of percentage. It can be the amount of SVHC existing in the total weight of the product or the amount of SVHC existing in the product parts. For example, Cobalt dichloride (CAS No 7646-79-9) is used as a mordant for coloring cloth. In order to calculate 0.1% wt / wt, the amount of Cobalt dichloride should be 100 meters (corresponding to Weight) to calculate the amount of cloth.

Question 5. In REACH, when is the exporter obliged to declare?
Answer: When both of the conditions mentioned below are met, the declaration obligation must be fulfilled:
When the product contains SVHC on the shortlist and the weight exceeds 0.1% wt / wt, the amount of SVHC in products exported to Europe each year exceeds one ton.

Question 6. Does the exporter have a communication obligation in REACH?
Answer: When the existing listed SVHC weight in the product exceeds 0.1% wt / wt but the annual export volume is less than 1 ton, the exporter has the obligation to communicate.
