SEBS is the first industrialized production in the world by the Shell company in 1974, and its trade name is Kraton G. With the growth of SEBS applications, the number of manufacturers participating in the development and production of SEBS is increasing. At present, the global SEBS production and sales capacity has reached 200,000 tons, of which Shell Company is 110,000 tons / year, and the remaining manufacturers have a total production capacity of about 90,000 tons.
 
Because the carbon-carbon double bond of the butadiene segment in SEBS is hydrogenated and saturated, it has good weather resistance, heat resistance, compression deformation resistance, and excellent mechanical properties: ⑴ better temperature resistance, embrittlement The temperature is ≤-60 ° C, and the maximum use temperature is 149 ° C. The decomposition temperature is greater than 270 ° C in an oxygen atmosphere. ⑵Excellent resistance to aging. The rate of decline in performance after aging for one week in an artificial accelerated aging box is less than 10%, and the performance degradation of ozone aging (38 ° C) for 100 hours is less than 10%. (3) Excellent electrical properties. The dielectric constant is 1.3 × 10-4 at 1 kHz and 2.3 × 10-4 at 1 MHz; the volume resistance is 9 × 1016Ω / cm for one minute; and 2 × 1017Ω / cm for two minutes. ⑷Good dissolving performance, blending performance and excellent oil repellency, can be dissolved in many common solvents, its solubility parameter is between 7.2 and 9.6, it can be blended with a variety of polymers, and it can use oils commonly used in the rubber industry Oil-filled, such as white oil or naphthenic oil.的 An elastomer that can be used without vulcanization.
