Silica is a synthetic product and is a hydrated silica. White carbon black is similar to carbon black in appearance and function. Therefore it is called white carbon black. It is a white loose powder, light in weight, large in specific area, and has a large adsorption capacity and dispersion capacity.

The price difference of white carbon black in the market can reach ten times, because the production process and quality of products are different. Generally speaking, it is divided into fumed silica and precipitated silica. Fumed silica is mostly imported and the price is high. Most of the domestic is precipitated white carbon black. The domestic production process of precipitated white carbon black is also divided into two types, standard method and special method. The price of silica produced by special methods is often twice that of standard methods.

In solid pesticide solid preparations, such as WP WDG as a carrier, can improve wetting, suspension and storage stability.

Wettable powder (WP) is a very finely divided pesticide formulation containing the original drug, carrier and filler, surfactant (wetting agent, dispersant) adjuvant. When diluted to the concentration used in the field, the preparation can form a stable suspension for spraying.

Water-dispersible granules (WDG) are also called dry suspensions or granular wettable powders. When placed in water, it can disintegrate, disperse and form a highly suspended dispersion system relatively quickly.

In liquid preparations, SC and OD are commonly used. Silica is often classified as a stabilizer in SC. In SC, precipitated silica is commonly used by manufacturers. White carbon black has the functions of thickening, anti-settling, and anti-water precipitation in SC to improve storage stability, prevent SC from "paste", and has high requirements on the quality of white carbon in OD formulations. Gas phase white carbon black is often used. Classified as a structural stabilizer.

Play thickening and rheological control performance in OD. White carbon black can form a three-dimensional structure in a liquid when standing still, increasing the viscosity and yield point under standing. During shearing, a shear thinning effect can be formed. Therefore, in OD, it has the functions of anti-settling, anti-layering, thickening, and research assistance.
