The difference between the addition of liquid silicone and the condensation liquid silicone

Liquid silicone rubber is a kind of organic silica gel which is relatively mixed with semi-solid silicone rubber and common room temperature vulcanized one-component silica gel. It is a liquid glue. It has good sulphur kinetics, fast vulcanization, and can be injection molded. forming. The liquid silicone rubber is further divided into a liquid silicone gel and a condensed liquid silicone.

    1. Addition liquid silicone: Addition liquid silicone rubber is a vinyl-containing polysiloxane as the base polymer. The viscosity of the rubber compound before vulcanization is lower, which is convenient for perfusion and does not release heat during vulcanization. No low molecular by-products are released, the shrinkage rate is small, the vulcanization can be deep, and the operation is simple. After vulcanization, it becomes a soft transparent or translucent elastomer, which can maintain elasticity for a long time in the temperature range of -50 °C to 200 °C. The addition of liquid silicone is a high-grade type of silicone rubber, which has the advantages of vulcanization and the like, and the sealing property at high temperature is better than that of the condensation type. Excellent electrical and chemical stability, water resistance, ozone resistance, radiation resistance, weathering resistance, moisture resistance, shock resistance, good low compression set, low combustion; physiologically inert, non-toxic, odorless, and vulcanized Speed can be controlled with temperature and so on.

  2. Condensation-type liquid silica gel: The condensation-type liquid silica gel vulcanization reaction needs to satisfy two conditions, and it is necessary to carry out the initiation reaction by using moisture and a catalyst in the air. The compound and catalyst are usually packaged as one component. Curing begins to occur only when the two components are completely mixed together. The vulcanization time of the two-component condensation type room temperature vulcanized silica gel mainly depends on the type, amount and temperature of the catalyst. The more the amount of catalyst used, the faster the vulcanization, and the shorter the shelf life. The condensed liquid silicone gel can be cured at room temperature (25 ° C) and can be made into an elastomer after 8 to 24 hours. In order to speed up, the amount of curing agent can be increased. The increase or decrease of the curing agent as well as the temperature and temperature are factors that affect the curing speed.
