As a rubber reinforcing agent, silica has a wide range of applications. All black rubber products use carbon black. In 1912, people found that white carbon black had a reinforcing effect on rubber, and since then, white carbon black has gradually become an indispensable raw material for the rubber industry.
At present, raw rubber ranks first in the consumption of raw materials in the world's rubber industry, and silica ranks second; In other words, silica has become the rubber compounding agent with the largest consumption. The consumption of silica generally accounts for 40%~50% of the consumption of rubber. That is to say, in the rubber formula, every two parts of rubber will be used together with one part of silica.
