How is silica made? What does it take?

White carbon black is the general term of white powder X-ray amorphous silicic acid and silicate products, mainly refers to precipitated silica, gaseous silica

Mainly chemical vapor deposition (CAV) method, also known as pyrolysis, dry or combustion method. Its raw material is generally silicon tetrachloride, oxygen (or air) and hydrogen, reaction at high temperature. The reaction equation is:

SiCl4 + 2 h2 + O2 - > SiO2 + 4 HCL

The air and hydrogen are respectively pressurized, separated, cooled and dehydrated, dried by silica gel, and filtered by dust. The RAW material of silicon tetrachloride is sent to the distillation tower, heated and evaporated in the evaporator, and sent to the synthetic hydrolysis furnace with the dried and filtered air as the carrier. Silicon tetrachloride is vaporized at high temperature (flame temperature 1000-1800 ℃) and hydrolyzed with a certain amount of hydrogen and oxygen (or air) at high temperature of about 1800℃; At this time, the gas-phase silica particles generated are very fine and form aerosol with gas, which is not easy to capture. Therefore, they are first aggregated into large particles in the aggregator, and then collected by the cyclone separator, and then sent to the deacidification furnace. The gas-phase silica is washed with nitrogenous air until the PH value is 4-6, which is the finished product.
