The difference between carbon black and white carbon black and their respective uses
The main difference is that the nature is different, the formation is different, the main purpose is different, as follows:

First, different nature

1, carbon black,

Carbon black is an amorphous carbon. Light, loose and very fine black powder, which is the product of incomplete combustion or thermal decomposition of carbon-containing substances (coal, natural gas, heavy oil, fuel oil, etc.) under insufficient air conditions.

2, silica

White carbon black is the general term of white powder X-ray amorphous silicic acid and silicate products, mainly refers to the precipitated silica, gaseous silica and superfine silica gel, also includes powder synthetic aluminum silicate and calcium silicate, etc.

Second, form a difference

1, carbon black,

Carbon black generally refers to carbon elemental particles, generally due to the insufficient combustion of organic matter, hydrogen and oxygen elements in which are converted into water, and carbon combustion is not sufficient, will be separated from the molecules, forming carbon black.

2, silica

Silica was prepared by precipitation method with non-metallic ore and its extensions as silicon source. The key is to transform crystalline silica and silicate into amorphous silica. The main raw materials are wolverite, opal, Elorite, olivine, ophiolite, kaolin, hard kaolin, coal gangue, fly ash and so on.

Three, the main use is different

1, carbon black,

It can be used as a black dye for making Chinese inks, inks, paints, etc. It is also used as a reinforcing agent for rubber.

2, silica

①, used in color rubber products to replace carbon black for reinforcement.

②, in agricultural chemicals, such as pesticides, efficient spraying fertilizer, the use of white carbon black as a carrier or diluent, disintegrating agent.

(3) Transparent color and opaque toothpaste with silica as filler and abrasive. This kind of toothpaste has good flexibility and dispersion, smooth paste, soft and abrasive.

(4) Adhesive made of natural rubber or synthetic rubber.

⑤, as an anti-caking agent used in some products to improve free mobility.
