Vapor phase white carbon black is an amorphous powder, usually spherical particles, produced by the hydrolysis of silicon tetrachloride or trichloromethylsilane in the air and hydrogen mixed flow at high temperature. The product obtained by gas phase method has high purity, good dispersion, fine and spherical particles, and few surface hydroxyl groups, so it has excellent reinforcement performance. However, this method has complex process, high requirements for equipment, large energy consumption, and high production cost. Gas phase method is the main method for industrialized production of nano silica in developed countries. With the rapid economic growth of China and Asia, there has been a huge market demand space. The attraction of low production costs and the environmental pressure of developed countries have led foreign fumed silica manufacturers to shift to Asia. At present, the main domestic production enterprises include: Zhejiang Xinji New Materials Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Jibisheng Technology and Industry Co., Ltd., Shenyang Chemical Co., Ltd., Shanghai Chlor Alkali Chemical Co., Ltd., with an annual total capacity of more than 15000 tons and an output of more than 8000 tons. Foreign funded enterprises mainly include Cabot Bluestar (Jiangxi, Tianjin) Chemical Co., Ltd., Deshan Chemical (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd., etc., with an annual total capacity of more than 21000 tons and an output of more than 10000 tons. Foreign funded enterprises still occupy the leading position in the domestic fumed silica market.
